A Negro Mentality?

America is bent out of shape over the words of Sen. Majority Leader Reid whereas he accurately described President Obama as not "Having a Negro dialect." I think anyone that can't see this as a compliment needs to get bent. President Obama is articulate, non-threatening, and a generally friendly negro. It's time for him to become "The HNIC." I can't stand the fact that Obama's agenda is taking a beating because he's operating with a "Negro Mentality." He's like Rodney King asking, "Why can't we all just get along?" America needs real courageous leadership not phony political friendships.
What is a "Negro Mentality?" Head down, no direct eye contact, submissive body language, apologetic tones, and a personality that always avoids confrontation is what I see as a "Negro Mentality." It's like President Obama is just going through the motions trying not to make the establishment mad. Damn it, He's the President of the United States. Everything Obama suggests will make someone mad. Leadership is not about making friends. Leadership is about making decisions and doing what's best for America. President Obama took the oath and discovered he has "cold feet." That's a "Negro Mentality."
As a result of the indecision the State of our Union is confused. We don't know what President Obama truly wants to do. His heart and soul aren't in the policies. Obama won the election by listening to Democrats and uniting the party, but he is governing like a Republican taking orders from the GOP and Bush's base. The media has been so shutout of the policy process that they don't know if Obama is on the Left or Right. He's so wishy-washy we are all confused. Do we close Gitmo? Do we vote for Health Insurance Reform? Can we do anything right? The only group benefitting from Obama's Negro Mentality is the GOP. Mike Steele and Rush Limbaugh are absolutely giddy. I say, "Drop the Negro Mentality and Giddy-up!"
Being the first Black President is an honor if President Obama actually decides to use the power. What are the goals for an Obama administration short-term and long-term? The Urgency of Now is another example of his "Negro Mentality" that indicates inferiority. His mind is saying, "We better get what we can get while the getting is good?" Obama is no Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. It's like saying, "Feets don't fail me now." Stand up straignt Mr. President and lead this nation. Never fear to negotiate with anyone for you have earned the last word. Permit the GOP to share their ideas, participate in this Democracy, and then hold someone accountable. If not, there's a tea party on the horizon being thrown in your honor. Lead us and drop the "Negro Mentality." We Can was the winning message, but it was also a message to you.
