Jackets and Falcons face off in Cross Town Rivalry

Posted on 01 March 2010 by fair2mike

There is no real significance of this matchup since it is a JV game, it is only for practice. The styles of play great differ as in SAHS likes to be very aggressive on the base paths and Pedro like to dominate at the plate with their aggressive hitting. For both teams this is the second game of the season for them. SAHS is 1-0 by virtue of beating Matanzas and Pedro is 1-1 by winning over Englewood and a loss to Stanton. Key players for SAHS are Hunter Mitchell who is a miniature version of Preston Kinlaw on varsity. Shayne Schneider a starting pitcher. Then for Pedro starting pitcher Jay Georges who is one of there strongest pitchers. Also there is Isaac Roman who is a great first baseman and one of their better pitchers. There was one key injury in the game and that was for Pedro. Pitcher Isaac Roman strained his arm against Stanton in a losing effort.
