Stop the bandwagon, I want to get off. I was ready to pledge my loyalty and Earthly possessions to the Tea Party, but then Sarah Palin walked in. She walked in with a cheat sheet on her hand. What do you think I am-stupid? It looks like the Tea Party is nothing more than former Republicans stirring up political trouble under a new flag. I think this is exactly why the main stream media is trying so hard to ignore them. It’s the same old, same old, message just not shared by Rush Limbaugh.
What’s the message? The Tea Party and the GOP are saying, “I hope he fails.” Basically, another wing of the GOP has formed fueled by the same hatred and venom. A rose by any other name still smells like fertilizer when you get past the “Folksy Talk” and the “Fancy Pageant Walking.” I’m disgusted by the Tea Party because when you stoop to Palin’s level, you stand for nothing. Why not take John Edwards as your message of hope and change?
Making an Edwards reference shows you the level of distaste I have for the Tea Party because Edwards is toxic. I supported the man in 2004 and in 2008. I supported the Tea Party too, but there comes a time when enough is enough! I’m fed up with the anger for the sake of anger shared by just another pretty face. Be angry, but offer something positive to fix the problems? Edwards was a vehicle that permitted “Poor People” to participate in the Democratic debate. What debate is the Tea Party or Sarah Palin having? It’s all about hate with a smile.
In short, I love the fact that there is an anger in America directed at both political parties and the status quo. I’m furious at the fact that the anger is turning into a blind rage. Beautiful people can get on television in a heartbeat, but what if anger is all they offer? I know the power of anger and it’s ability to “Change” politics. Sometimes anger can be a “Childish Thing.” The GOP is no stranger to anger. They didn’t unleash their anger when the Constitution was being shattered by former President Bush and VP Dick Cheney. The collective anger at them was good. What’s up with that “Do you miss me now?” I loved the Constitutional reply. That’s “Real Tea Party” and patriotic stuff. Sadly, what this Tea Party is serving is stale koolaid from a Caribou Barbie. We’ve been there and done that with Edwards. Anger can only take you so far. Do something with that anger for America like pass real healthcare reform?

Is it just me or does the Tea Party look like the new Blacks of the GOP? Secondary, getting lip service, and being pacified for their support? Democrats were energized by a fight between Obama and Hillary. The GOP didn’t have anyone to fight with. They kicked out a band of rebels and now they are fighting for what…attention? If the GOP was going to protect and defend the Constitution, why didn’t they do it under Bush/Cheney? Do you miss me now? Heck no!

Someday, all this juicy stuff is going to make a great book. I mentioned the Tea Party in the same breath and light as Blacks in the Democratic Party and it’s on the news. Hillary led the Democratic Tea Party effort and we didn’t know if we could count on them when the vote was counted. We did and we won. The Tea Party is the new Black Sheep wing of the GOP. What’s sad is the Tea Party is more attractive than anything the GOP has to offer and far more credible. What’s incredible is the Tea Party can’t win supporting the GOP’s stupidity. The GOP isn’t winning. Democrats are blowing it and we can fix this anytime we desire. Our egos are too proud to share credit, but the work speaks for itself. Credit will come in God’s time not ours. Keep giving your best and the collection of work is priceless. Look at the Clinton Impeachment? Everyone involved has risen to do great things. How could that be bad? My time will come.
