Homecoming

Posted on 27 January 2010 by massie

Well, I’m french, but since my childhood, I’ve always felt that my home wasn’t France. I’ve always liked Scotland.
When I was a child, I loved to see pictures of Highlands & Lochs. At that time, I just wanted to visit Scotland, but now I fell I’ve got to live there.

One day, my mother found out that there was a Loch in Scotland called Lomond. And my mother’s name IS Lhomond ! Since that day, I’m making research to find wether my ancestors came from this wonderful country. Anyway, this astonishing discovery gave a goal to my life: now I do want to live there ! Before having discovered this, I wasn’t able to write a sentence in english ! And in 2 years, I made astonishing progress. Since that day, I’ve been twice to Scotland, and to the Loch Lomond.

I do feel I’ve got to live there, I know it’s my fate. When I think about my childhood, I noticed that Scotland has always been near to my heart. Is there any religious sign ? I mean, it might be the sign of a ‘past-life’.

Anyway, the most important is that now I know what I want to do in my life. France is my country, But it’s in Scotland that I feel at home.
