As much as we would like to deny the truth, America has changed since 9-11. What’s wrong? We have lost the benefit of doubt. Society has moved from seeking probable cause to automatically accusing anyone “They” desire to be guilty or a terrorist. There’s nothing we can do about it or is there?
I strongly disagree with my new friend Carlos666. We cannot use “Situational Ethics” to change who we are to fit in all across America. We instead must maintain our integrity as the integrity of those who sit in judgement of us is questioned. If the courts are corrupt is there any justice in their rulings? If a corrupt court finds you to be at fault as the victim are you at fault? We cannot argue the law, but if the law is corrupt then are we also corrupt if we blindly follow along? Where we cannot get justice, sometimes there is poetic justice. We cannot lose our integrity seeking justice in a corrupt process for mankind is not the final arbiter.
Integrity is vital to the development of anyone’s and everyone’s character. Integrity sometimes places one “outside” the normal realm of comfort and acceptablility in society and or the workplace. I believe Dr. Martin Luther King said, “Judge a man’s character not in good times, but in times where that comfort has been lost.” Breaking the law sometimes depends on one’s situational ethics. A bad laws may need to be broken by people with integrity for the greater good? However, losing one’s integrity is never acceptable in a large or small town or any corporation. Unfortunately it has become a standard practice where some corporations use situational ethics to determine who advances and who gets left behind. They deny justice for the bottomline and good people can do bad things. In short, all court decisions are not in the name of justice. Time Magazine has named “The Crybaby” as person of the decade. The “Little People” helped elect President Obama and that effort earned a Nobel Peace Prize. Remember the decision rendered for or against anyone is only a test of their integrity. If we lose integrity, no corporation or court can give it back. Don’t lose your integrity Carlos. Maybe someday, you too can make history or get on the list?

I just read your latest work and I strongly urge you to listen. I cannot and will not provide counseling over this website because I have no clue why you so proudly write under “666.” I’m done reviewing your work because it might be all about you. What are you offering that is worthwile to the larger conversation. You have stepped into the danger of blind blogging. Blog with a purpose for the greater good? Bye-bye!

Writing is not an exact science. The author can take liberties in their hidden meanings and messages shared. The reader can sometimes miss the intention of the writer and we collectively call this “depth” in our works. I look for depth in the work of others. I don’t particularly wish to probe deeper into the 666.
