Is Tiger Woods experiencing a “Richard Pryor Moment?” It’s a point in life where tragedy steps in to open one’s eyes to reality forcing us to be humbled? I think Tiger Woods is running down the street on fire looking for a Jim Brown to put his flames out. I’m talking metaphorically, but this is a Richard Pryor moment. Will Tiger laugh or burn?
I’ve been checking the blogs and Tiger is getting no love from the “Non-Caublinasians.” The masses have already awarded half of Tiger’s earnings to his wife and kids. It’s not funny, but it is. For someone to be so perfect and scripted- to be so stupid is hilarious. Tiger is faced with the reality that the media loves us and hates us just as much. Perfection is fleeting. If you ride that wave to celebrity, someday perfection will consume all that you take. Tiger is burning his good fortune and reputation trying to remain perfect.
Who am I to give the greatest golfer of our time and possibly all time advice? When running down the street trying to outrun a burning story…stop running. My advice to anyone is “Stop, Drop, and Roll.” Admit you are not perfect. Let someone throw some water on you. It feels good to be human. It feels good to know that others will no longer put you on a pedestal. It feels good to no longer have to carry a torch waiting to burn you. The longer Tiger tries to ignore this reality the more likely he is to get burned. As he runs with the flames so hot, he grows darker every minute. Tiger must admit that he’s Black. This silly auto accident story is about as “Ghetto” as one can get. I say, “Put out the flames now.” Salvage your life if you love your family and wife. They will get half either way unless you have a prenup? Shame on you more if you do. Black and White America wants to see this story to conclusion. End it on your terms like the true professional you’ve proven yourself to be. Be decisive. Tiger you are looking like a “Hot Ghetto Mess.” Be resiliant like Richard? He taught us all how to come back…smoking.

The spin doctors at MSNBC seem to be in the “advice” business too. They suggest that Tiger let the oxygen in the room burn out, but that is the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Oxygen makes the flames hotter and the problem here is this could be a grease fire. Water may not help put the flames out if the truth is what it is. Accepting responsibility for what happened means getting to the bottom of the problem. Waiting for the fire department will put the fire out right, but who gets burned? Tiger Woods has a lot to lose and nothing but the truth will prevent it from going up in flames. Shared guilt is why couples hunker down when troubles arise. The attention on this story or the oxygen will always fan the flames. Accountability is like a CO2 fire extinguisher here. We are talking domestic issues, infidelity, endorsements, Chris Brown, Rihanna, Oprah and the messages sent in the silence. Man up Tiger. That’s how you come back…smoking. Follow Richard Pryor’s example. You are human. Laugh at your Ghetto self and life.

Everybody associated remotely to this story has “Lawyered Up.” That tells me somebody is about to get paid base on what they know or what Tiger says. Tiger isn’t speaking because he has the right to remain silent. Anything he says could destroy his relationship and cost him half or be used against him in a court of law like a 9 iron upside the head. I’m curious about one thing…why didn’t the air bag in his Escalade deploy? Is this turning into some form of insurance fraud or are cars disposable when you have Tiger money? Tiger is getting milked on this one because without credibility you can’t be a trusted pitchman. Stuff happens and we all know it. It’s news because it happened to Tiger Woods and his perfect life. He looking “Darker” every day.

Looks like tiger is taking your advice. He really had no choice after they dropped the recorded VM on him.

Tiger isn’t taking my advice, I’m offering it “Free.” Why? There’s a game plan that must be followed in a crisis and what he was doing was “Chicken Poop.” Sometimes, people are surrounded by people who think your best interest is letting them keep their job kissing their butt. Sometimes, you need someone unafraid to speak truth to power. I’ve had quite a bit of practice doing this. I did get Obama elected and John Edwards was the VP selection. That wasn’t easy, but people who listen seem to turn to gold. Tiger is human and he may be tempted by the flesh. Someone recently shared a thought about King David. A good man can be tempted, but is it for us to judge? No, Tiger is a golfer. We made him into the myth that he is. Playing all that golf made him miss out on girls, fun, and relationships. I forgive him, but I won’t excuse his behavior. I won’t judge Tiger. I will help him if he listens.

Here’s a little deeper insight into the Tiger Wood’s Situation. I understand. When facing raw emotions, it hard for the woman to walk away. If she’s guilty of any violent act, it now her fault so she must stay. It’s her fault that she got cheated on. I understand she wasn’t there for him. The wife is trapped by her own guilt, until she grabs his nine iron again.

Saturday Night Live danced on the double standard of “Domestic Violence” and caused a slight uproar on AOL. If Tiger was the beater in this case women everywhere would be up in arms grabbing golf clubs seeking the head of Tiger and his sponsors. Things are different where Tiger is the prey and the Tigress may or may not be the Chris Brown. Tiger was smart to keep his face and pictures out of the media to protect his private relationship. See we are learning a lot from Rihanna’s situation. How do celebrities protect their endorsements and careers. Shut up and no pictures please. There’s one more valuable step…kiss Oprah’s butt or outbid her to keep the story silent until she leaves the air. Go Tiger. Handle your business better than Rihanna and Chris.

Just when you thought the “Drama” was over for Tiger and his family, another bombshell drops? It’s like we are being manipulated by a tug o war filled with emotion. His wife’s mother comes into the picture and she faints to grab the spotlight? I heard that 9-11 call and I’d charge someone for pulling a prank. She fainted. I heard her fall. She’s okay. That’s all “Drama” being orchestrated for sympathy for the wife. Do I smell the work of the “Feminists” here now? Tiger is a golfer and he cheated. Like his wife isn’t beautiful enough to have “Friends?” It’s a relationship in trouble and do we really want to know why? I just want them to “Fix It” or “Move On.” It’s just that simple and the Mothers in Law have nothing to do with it.

Before this story gets too crazy, how does Tiger get past this? Simple…”Fire the Old Team Tiger and Hire the New Team Tiger.” Don’t wait for people to find the courage to tell you that they can’t back you or they don’t like what you did. That’s stupid. Take charge of your “Team” and give everyone a chance to walk that wants to walk. You didn’t need these rats on your ship anyway. After the rats jump, you close ranks and begin to do business again. Refocus the team on winning. Don’t permit anyone to profit from you that sits in judgement. Don’t do business with people who are ungrateful and can’t focus long term. Hire the new “Team Tiger.” If the wife is out, she’s out.

Allegedly, Elin has just issued Tiger an “Ultimatum?” Give up golf or I’m gone? That’s hilarious! The only problem Tiger has is he was married. He’ll get visitation. He already has a Nanny. Tiger is rumored to have more applicants for his sexual appetite than City Center in Las Vegas. Quit what makes him special…that’s hilarious.
