Homosexuality

Posted on 31 July 2009 by Brother Andrey

There have always been a lot of negative feelings expressed towards homosexuals. The dictionary defines homosexuals as people with special feelings which they express and rely on only to the same sex. How do they know if it’s a good feeling?

Recently the University of Washington published an article on homosexuals. They had a drawing of a man and a sheep asking the following question: “where do you draw the line? Maybe we should get marry sheep now?” How do you know that the feelings you are having are actually right feelings?

There was a church in Wisconsin that followed the bible and was against homosexuals. On April 12, 1996, during a service, Pastor Ralf was preaching on how homosexuality was a sin, when suddenly they heard shouting from outside. “You are not going to get away with this!” yelled homosexuals. They then proceeded to throw rocks inside the church and some even went inside and peed on the floor. What does that say about the morals they believe in?

This was reported by Victory magazine: One Pastor was standing in the street during a gay parade in San Francisco holding a sign that said: “homosexuality is a sin.” People from the parade were outraged. Don’t jump to any conclusions as to what they did to him, they did not kill him, they just cussed him out and promised to rape his children. Would you say that is morally normal?

Some people may say “hey, God loves me for who I am, he sees my heart.” well ill tell you this, that is called idolatry, and it’s the oldest sin in the book. Idolatry is when a person makes a god that suits him, a god he’s more comfortable with. Here is what the Bible says about homosexuality: “..Women turned against God’s natural plan for them and indulged in sex sin with each other. And the men, instead of having a normal sex relationship with women, burned with lust for each other, men doing shameful things with other men and, as a result, getting paid within their own souls with the penalty they so richly deserve. The penalty from God.” (Romans 1:26-28). The Bible clearly states that God is against homosexuality.

God gave us the freedom to choose, either we follow Him, and obey what he says; or we go against God and give into the desires of the flesh. Romans 2:2 says: “As we know that God, in justice, will punish anyone who does such things as these.” God calls all men to repent and trust in Him.

I’m a Christian and I accept people who are homosexual. Doctors have also said that homosexuality is determined in someone’s DNA. I believe it is a sin, but I think God accepts everyone for who they are.

  2. andreybigb Says:

hey leu, your contradicting the Bible! The Bible says God hates sin, he will punish sin, read Romans it talks all about it. God is a holy God, If God is good! he must punish all sinners. Read the Bible! The Bible says clearly states that it is a sin, and You cant be in heaven! If you believe in what you believe your not a christian, you have a way different God, your God is not God of the Bible. Please consider reading the Bible, and knowing what is truth, not what you think is right! any questions please write to me…or go on http://www.jesusmy1.weebly.com

  3. leu13 Says:

But I don’t support homosexuality, I don’t talk to someone just because they are gay. I get God does not accept it. I don’t think its right to be homosexual.

  4. affablepenman Says:

God will forgive a murderer, and he certainly will forgive someone for being gay. The church is who failed the gay person, and the person who murdered. It was not just the terrible parents who reared the sociopath, but maybe the church failed the future parents. The price of sin has been paid. No it is not right, and no, no church should condone its members in partaking in this behavior, but no church or man, woman or child should feel they have the authority to turn a gay person away. Instead of marrying gay people, preachers should set down and council the person as to why this is not the right path. Preachers do not do this as they should. The corporate church does not want to be in the red at the end of the quarter, therefore, preachers want to protect their “job” and not talk about the hard things in life. Yes the bible preaches against being gay as it does of murder, and theft. It also teaches forgivness that is Gods alone to deal out. Everyone is born into sin. The path I walk is no meer human can take care of my soul. I do not look to a man to save me, as I have already been saved, and I know I have commited no greater sins than the man standing next to me. Therefore, whom is he to judge me and I him.

  5. andreybigb Says:

Yes I agree with what your saying….God does forgive if we repent and trust in him..and I know that there are many churches who would be glad in working with different kinds of people..and Only and Only if a homosexual person has the desire to change from what he was (With Gods help of course) and Repent and Trust In Jesus, then that person will be saved….I can post the verses from the Bible..=)

No need to post the verses. Except for the one unforgivable sin each and every one of us is already saved. Acceptance of that salvation is what isn’t being taught. Our church leaders are not teaching this, they are focusing on the sin itself. This past weekend my lawn mower stopped working, and I was forced to tear it down. After repairing it I started to put it back together. If I just focused on just one bolt I would never get it back together. I went to the problem bolt by bolt, addressed the problem and put it back together, bolt by bolt. Our preachers just stand in the pulpit and scream thou shalt not do this and thou shalt not do that. Thats great and has to be said, but without the motivation of the Holy Spirit those bolts will never be tightened. Without the Knowledge that you are loved and the price has already been paid; the acceptance of the sacrifice of God the Almighty will not come. Do you wonder why some will not come to church? I have. I have also come to the conclusion that some churches, not all, do not really want some to come. It is almost like high school with the clicks that are formed in some churches. The preachers skip over the most important teachings of the bible, fearing some of the more influential “members” of the church do not want to hear this kind of talk today. Its sad. I do not disagree with what you are saying, but just spouting that god does not like it is like telling a child not to grasp at a flame. The child needs to know why it should not do this or that. It will do it anyway and get burned, but mom is there to take care of it afterwards. I truely believe that if preachers would tech more on Gods love along with what is sin, we would live in a different world. Along with Gods love comes the Holy Spirit which will destroy all worldly cravings and sinful diversity.

  10. andreybigb Says:

Yes, I agree! I think preachers should be more worried by witnessing and telling non Christians about what God did for all of us, instead of doing that they are worried what people might think.

  11. affablepenman Says:

andreybigb, I checked out your website. Its a great site.

  12. lplawhead Says:

Just know that I’m rolling my eyes right now. Just because your belief system as it on “the highest authority” that homosexuals are sinners bound for eternal damnation doesn’t make you right. In the US of A we have religious freedom. So why don’t all of you fundamentalist hypocrites stop hiding your “sins” in the closet and get off your self professed moral high ground. It’s people like you who help perpetuate bigotry and ultimately violence. I wish more people would start throwing rocks and pissing on idiots who still cling to faith based religious dogma. Guess what, you don’t get to pick and choose what parts of the Bible to buy in to, why stop with the gays? Shouldn’t we be putting black folks in their place for not having “obeyed their masters?” Maybe we need to bring beatings back into our schools, “spare the rod, spoil the child” after all. Doesn’t it ever occur to you how full of absolute crap you people are? Preying on the weak minded, brokenhearted, disenfranchised or just plain gullible with your special “word of God”. Don’t you remember how much incest, deceit and murder the Bible is full of? Grow up, you morons. There is no God in the classical, Christian sense. Even if there was, do you really think he’d want to spend his time with a bunch of grey faced, whiny little suckers who’re to miserable or stupid to enjoy the life they have and would prefer to comfort themselves with spiritual pipe dreams about a better place after death? No. If there IS a God, diversity would obviously have been one of his designs, I bet he’d kick each and every one of you pretentious pricks right in the nuts for trying to squash the differences he worked so hard in tailoring for us all. Believe what you want, dummy, but keep your God in your pants.

  13. affablepenman Says:

It burns you dosen’t it lplawhead, you get so mad over those nasty little things people do when they are brought front and center. If you want to pack fudge, then pack on pal, but don’t get your panties in a wad when someone calls you out on it. We do have freedom of religion and freedom of speech.

  14. andreybigb Says:

    Hello Iplawhead,

You know I really do enjoy comments! whenever they are bad or good. I can see that you don’t believe in God, right? I totally agree that we do have freedom of religion in USA, (that’s why I wrote this article in the first place)=) Listen if you are an atheist I would be thankful If you called my radio show sometime, and we could debate on the subject of God, its perfectly fine with me. I know Iplawhead the truth hurts, I know! =)

  15. andreybigb Says:

Let me know Iplawhead, if you want to disscuss that topic, I will be happy doing it via email, or radio. Radio will be better!=)

  16. lplawhead Says:

I’m not an atheist, nor am I gay but I do get a bit fired up when it comes to religious or philosophical dogma infringing on the rights of people to do what makes them happy. Give me a time and date and whatever details I need to know and we can debate. I’ll be sure to bring my Bible for reference purposes.

  17. andreybigb Says:

Alright, I will schedule, and I will let you know when!

  18. andreybigb Says:

Iplawhead, give me a specific topic! Religion, or the right of people? or something else.. cause I dont want to jump all over the scale, I have to know a specific subject and then we could go on from there.

  19. lplawhead Says:

Alright, how about people who feel the need to involve themselves and/or interfere with other people’s personal business.

  20. andreybigb Says:

Hey if you want to talk about that, On that specific subject we can disscuss that via email. What religion are you?

  21. baco Says:

I don’t write about sexuality usually because there’s a great risk of turning the blog into a homosexual chat room. Those swimming in the room can be seeking approval or a sword fight and neither one suits my taste. Unfortunately, someone has chosen to write about it here so I feel obligated to tell some truth about it. Most people are willing to ignore it as long as it’s not in our face. Just because we try to ignore it doesn’t mean we condone it. Some people mistake public silence for acceptance. I don’t think poking around a campfire rubbing two sticks together is acceptable behavior especially with children. The reason we can’t openly talk about homosexuality is it’s porn. I don’t need to see it to know it’s not for me. My silence doesn’t condone porn in public. I hate it when heterosexuals display public affection too. I’m not a basher or a bather. Blame my gym teacher for my modesty or my morals.

  22. lplawhead Says:

I don’t subscribe to any specific religion. I believe there is some kind of creative force that set the laws of existence into motion. I don’t believe that that creator looks or thinks like I do, I don’t believe that there have been any incarnations of it on earth. I believe that all humans (and other species) have the right to do what they want as long as it doesn’t hurt anyone else directly. I don’t believe that any authority over those humans can be successful or altruistic, but that in ALL cases when one is given authority over another that authority will be abused. Power corrupts, absolute power corrupts absolutely. I don’t think it’s anyone’s place to tell anyone else how to live their own life.

  23. baco Says:

I liked my basic commentary on homosexuality, but I don’t think I quite went far enough to cover my thoughts on religion and homosexuality. When Religion uses it’s power over others to promote or condone homosexual or any other kind of sexual act involving children, then I find it offensive to use any religion to defend the indefensible behavior. If these were two consenting adults actively engaged, then the religious arguments may hold true, but to use it as a wedge to get into “Little Timmy’s Pants” is wrong. If you can’t see the evil in this, then it’s like arguing with Barney Frank’s dining room table. I don’t like the argument of using “Jesus Juice” on kids at Neverland either. Some things are just “Indefensible.” Silence permits people to get away with the crime, but I personally don’t think we get away with anything. I can’t judge you for what you do, but my silence isn’t a stamp of approval. Some consenting adults will do whatever. Let’s draw the line at protecting the kids? It’s sad we all don’t agree on this point.

  24. affablepenman Says:

I have to agree with baco here. Children have to be protected at all cost. If there is anything in this world that throws me into a uncontrollable, bloodthirsty, absolutely no quarter to be given, sanguinary rage, it is the abuse and neglect of a child. If any christian wants to know how God feels about this, the gospel of Christ Jesus can answer that question, and for any non christian or anybody else; the wrongness of hurting a child may be felt to the core of his or her very soul.

  25. andreybigb Says:

I agree! You know when I wrote this article, this is not base on religion Iplawhead, religion is a man made rules… Bible is a word of God and Im just reporting the truth, reminding people on how God hates sin, and he will punish sin. Iplawhead I care about you, Listen there is only one God, he is the crator of the whole universe, even when you get into logical appsolutes you can see that there has to be only One God. I really want to point to the truth, please write to me on my email jesusmyfirst@gmail.com i would love to disscuss anything with you, maybe if its intresting we can get on the radio sometime…=)

  26. lplawhead Says:

    Pump the breaks there sparky,
I’m not in any way shape or form condoning the abuse of children in any way, sexual or otherwise. To say that I think it’s wrong to hate people or try and infringe upon their rights based on their sexual preference can in NO WAY be likened to condoning sexual abuse toward children. I am a father of three and would do horrible and torturous things to anyone who hurt my children or any other child in my vicinity.

  27. affablepenman Says:

Though I cannot speak for baco, but from his comment he thinks along the same lines as I do regarding homosexuals. Now before any gays on this site start getting all squeaky let me explain. I feel I must be cautious around gay people as it is a proven fact that people who crave sexual deviancy tend to hurt children. Being gay is a form of sexual deviancy that simply can’t be defended. Even the mechanics of the participation proves this point. Now I do not feel all gay people are this way, however, I feel I must remain vigilant around such people due to the fact that sexual deviant people are more likely to sexually abuse a child. I do not hate them unless, and God forgive me, they do hurt a child and then that person is but a bug whom I would pay money to smash. It is wrong and just the action of being gay tells the gay person this much. There are as many gays trying to shoving their ideals down our throat, as there are religious people shoving theirs down the throats of gays. It is the way it is, and the way it shall continue; until the government of Jesus is set up for the world and there shall be no election held for the latter.

  28. lplawhead Says:

Gay people are notoriously accepting of other humans in general. What they are NOT so likely to enjoy is being publicly denounced is morally devoid deviants. There is NO scientific basis for a link between homosexuality and the sexual abuse of children. I challenge you to present ANY scientific basis for your contention that there is a link. Just because the Bible says something doesn’t make it so. Do you practice the sabbath on Saturday as originally intended? Are you willing to break some of the Old Covenant rules, as Jesus did, to further the message of Love and God in a truer and purer form? Do you actually accept the invented dogma of eternal damnation that was added to Christianity despite having no basis in Judaic faith? Do you celebrate holidays that were literally STOLEN by the papacy from the OLDER and more authentic (and yes pagan) religions that existed prior to it’s creation such as Christmas (Candlemass) and Easter (which is a celebration of the Spring Equinox and is actually named for a pagan goddess). Do you support the perpetuation of slavery? Should women not be allowed a voice in the church? Should you refuse to even sit and eat with those who claim to be Christians and yet live a sinful life? You tell me are you a “slave to righteousness” or a slave to dogma?

  29. affablepenman Says:

There are loads of case study proving that sexual deviancy leads to child abuse. If you are not capable of verifying this, then you need to upgrade the rock your are living under. Look a little deeper into your pagen vs christian ceremonies and you will find most of them were copied to prevent persecution of the christian people.

  30. lplawhead Says:

Well, unsurprisingly, the data doesn’t match with your assertion. Not that I’m surprised. A breakdown of the ACTUAL available data can be found here, it shows pretty clearly with the limited data available that what you claim as true is just, as expected, a recitation of inaccurate data. Think for yourself, FOX news is not your God.

    http://www.boxturtlebulletin.com/Articles/000,002.htm

  31. lplawhead Says:

And you say that PAGAN traditions were copied by Christians to prevent religious persecution? Are you daft? I doubt even the Pope would say something that blatantly incorrect. That’s just a flat out lie! Many of the Pagan holidays in question were stolen as a means for assimilating followers of the Pagan religions more smoothly into Christianity, which at that time meant more specifically Catholicism. I suppose the crusades and the inquisition were just made up be evil, liberal closet gays too eh?

  32. affablepenman Says:

Just presenting facts. Anyone with the intelligence equal to a chimpanzee can verify the facts. Judging by your little research project, I suppose that leaves you in a lower genus. You have some issues that need looking into by a professional. I don’t know if you were touched wrong by some catholic priest or what, but you need to get a grip on your anti-christian hate thing, its not good for the blood pressure or the soul. Dismount your tree and buy some reference books or something. The only lies here, my friend, come from you.
