There are several factors attributed to the rise of witchcraft. Many of witches are radical feminists. The practice of witchcraft, if followed faithfully, makes the practice female dominate. The high priestess leads the ritual ceremonies. This fact may explain why the practice of witchcraft has risen so expeditiously. The female fertility goddess will always receive most of the worship. Wicca is specific for women who desire power and authority over men. Because Christianity is patriarchal, feminist philosophy pushes many women to witchcraft; this is due to the fact that they are unable to change Christianity to the way they would have it.
The rise of witchcraft can also be attributed to the complacency and ineffectiveness of Christianity during the nineteen-nineties. Today’s Christian leaders have lost their spine and are toothless in regards to witchcraft. In the book, “Witchcraft Today” editor Chas S. Clifton states, “some Christian clergy, no doubt, are convinced in their own minds that we are going to their hell in a hand basket, but they are courteous enough to keep the thought to themselves and not bother us with it.” Unfortunately, for wiccans this is so. There is a voice willing to label it for what it is; the rebellion against the almighty God, that voice is the Holy Bible.
Wiccans claim they have no Bible or revealed scripture in their religion. Although, few rely on it the Christians do have such a source. The Bible is the given word of the almighty personal God. Isaiah 45:5-6 states, “I am the Lord, and there is none else, there is no God besides me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: that they may know from the rising sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me, I am the lord and there is none else.” The Bible tells us that God created the earth, moon, and universe. It tells us that God has a purpose for all men and he wants us to live happy, abundant lives, but live them his way.
Witchcraft is contradictory to Gods way of live. Witchcraft is a religion inspired by Satan and his demons. The Bible was not written for the past, it was written for the future, and that future is today. Although most archeologists will not admit it, every word in the bible can be confirmed with known history. They also will not admit that the confirmations they find in the Bible post dates the bible by many years.
People can look to the Bible for answers to the witchcraft issue. I Samuel 15:23 states, for rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.” Witchcraft is a sin according to the Bible, but which sin? Is it idolatry? Yes, worshipping a goddess or horned god represents disrespect and dishonor to our holy creator. So the wiccans different path to god leads them to the god they worship, Satan. Wiccans admit their idolatry; they claim it makes them joyful. Witchcraft will never bring them happiness. Worshipping the earth, moon, sun, or animals will never bring a person true spirituality, it will only bring them the wrath of the one true God.
In Romans 1:18-25, Paul taught, “For the wrath of god is revealed from heaven against ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth of unrighteousness; because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for god hath showed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and four footed beasts, and creeping things. Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through lusts of their own hearts, worshipped and served the creatures more than the creator, who is blessed forever.” Liberals and wiccans ridicule Paul; he pretty much answers the question on where exactly wiccans stand with God.
The men and women, who gave birth to the religion of witchcraft, as Paul shows, refused to glorify God. Even when God revealed himself and his knowledge to mankind, they were not thankful for his blessings towards and to them. Today wiccans refer to themselves as the wise ones as did their earlier counterparts, but as Paul showed they only became fools. What Paul was telling us is then, during Paul’s time and earlier God gave the people over to uncleanness and lust, allowing them to dishonor their own bodies. That is what I believe he is doing today. Witchcraft is a work done in the flesh. It will keep a person out of the kingdom of God (See Gal. 5: 19-21).
Witchcraft is not good for the person and it is not good for a nation.
While instructing the Israelites Moses stated in Exodus 22: 18, “Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live.” While things like that are not done in the 21st century, Moses was not singling out witches; he was speaking to any person in Israel during that time committed idolatry was put to death. Why so serious of punishment? Because, if idolatry was left to run rampant it served only to turn that nation away from God. After Moses and other great leaders of that time died, only a few followed what the nation had been taught. History will show that ancient Israel that the northern tribes did fully embrace paganism. In turn, the nation suffered captivity, siege, and slavery. Israel suffered terribly for their idolatrous practices, they learned their lesson, but can America learn theirs, before it is too late.
If the modern wiccans have their way, what happened to Israel will happen here in America. Where are our leaders who will see the Wiccan religion for what it is and stand up to it? On a brighter side there is hope, there is a promise. Jesus will soon return and establish his kingdom according to the laws of God. He will put an end to all of the false religions (see Rev. 21: 8). Every knee will bend and every head shall bow, may that day hasten to a dawn.

My grandmother was a wiccan, she ran up a bunch of debt before she died, but she didn’t chop us up or anything. I say different strokes for different folks.

Quite insightful in your article but it seems like your not quite taking and objective eye to it, if i may ask did you observe any of their ceremonies, or investigate further into their religion?
Interview them? Wicca may have that view… for it is quite matriarchal but it tries to balance both, i would like to hear your insight.

In the animal kingdom their are many examples of a female dominated organisation. I have no problem with this as my wife tells me what to do all the time. I was forced to investigate into the the wiccan religion for files that were to be brought along with charges on several soldiers. I found the religion to be nothing more than a social club, a place and excuse for orgies. My point of view is, go for it as long as you do not fall victim to dereliction of duty. Then in building a file I was required to research their ceremonies, rites of passage or whatever. I found that to be, for the lack of a better word, fake. You are right, this is only my point of view, but Its my point of view that needs convincing if I am to respect this religion or any other matter as a singular person. I am a christian, and that is my business, and of no one elses concern. My household is christian and of the very essence of the word. I will not tolerate anybody forcing, in my opinion, “their” religion down my childs throat no matter what it may be. I do not do that with Christianity and neither will I allow it to be done. Every religion has its group who thinks it is the only way. I feel it is up to the individual to decide the path they will take. Each christian has a duty to let it be known the word of God and spread it, not force it like some try to do. I do write this from a christian point of view, just as other articles are written from the wiccan point of view degrading Christianity. I believe what I wrote above and will stand by it for as long as I draw air. I am free to do this, just as wiccans are free to do as they wish.

Clearly you have absolutely no shred of understanding of the Wiccan and Pagan belief systems, which vary greatly from tradition to tradition. While sex is not, as in some OTHER religious/spiritual belief systems, considered to be a deep dark secret best left out of the light of day it is by no means a central component of any of these faiths. Wiccans and other pagans are NEVER evangelical which means that once again you have missed the point, nobody who follows any of these paths is likely to “force their religion down [your] child’s throat.” Unlike Christians who see it as their duty to brainwash anyone they come in contact with, pagans generally hold that there are many paths, no particular “right” path and as such have respect for other religious, philosophical and spiritual paths. Ceremonies and rites of passage generally DO NOT include any sexual interaction and most intelligent people would be wary of any group that did have such requirements. Clearly you did not do any kind of real research but simply repeated the anti pagan propaganda that you have been fed as not one of the points you tried to show is based in actual fact. As far as Wiccans and other Pagans degrading Christianity this article (and I use that term very loosely) is a prime example of WHY such anti-christian views are propagated. I urge anyone who has read this absolute NONSENSE to go out and research the Pagan spiritual paths on their own, don’t let complete and total MORONS pass their misinformation on to you. In closing, you are an idiot and clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. While I respect your first amendment rights I will gladly exercise mine in return to show idiots like you for exactly what you are, uninformed, ignorant and bigoted schmucks with a very slanted view of reality.

Oh, and one other thing, not all forms of Wicca are Goddess centered, many hold the male and female aspects in equal esteem. In fact, most Wiccans see both parts as aspects of the whole, leaning closer to a monistic view than a monotheistic one.

Sorry for the triple post but I would also like to add that “warlock” is a derogatory term among the pagan community which translates directly into “oath breaker”. Where DID you get your info? Some Christian wicca resource site? I’m curious as to where this “research” was uncovered.

lplawdickhead, try a little reading comprehension. I got most of my information from the fools participating in this fake religion. I bet you like to set around and call people idiots and morons from the comfort of the internet, but you are all smiles when face to face to those you criticize. I am a christian, but I am far from being the best christian. I enjoy putting a boot in the derrieres of anti-christian, closet gays like yourself. If you like to dry hump trees go right ahead, just watch out for poison ivy.

By the way, to help you along with your reading comprehension inadequacy, I give the names of the books from which the quotes came in the article. All of the information contained in this article can be verified. You advocated everyone to go out and learn more of this religion, well everybody, I can save you some time. Go forth and find a large tree, press your naked body against it and writhe away. There, you are a wiccan.

Wow, that’s very adult of you. It amazes me how you don’t even see how offensive your article is. You truly do not understand anything about the Pagan religions. Congratulations on showing your true colors! Threatening physical violence, last resort of the ignorant.
August 27th, 2009 at 11:53 am
My true colors shine no brighter than yours my friend. I said I wasn’t a very good Christian. No I do not know much about pagan religions except that which I am exposed, further more, I do not wish to know about pagan religions. I suppose calling others idiots and morons is very adultish, well, it is just as adultescent. I find it very offensive and will always respond harshly. I did not write the article to make YOU feel good, I could really care less what you feel. I did not even write the article for people such as yourself. I wrote it for other christians, not for pagans, for pagans already feel their faults with out me pointing then out. Nor do I wish you to be my teacher of the pagan. I simply do not care.

Some would say that as a Christian it is your God ordained duty to carry the message of Christ to those who know him not. How on Earth do you expect to accomplish that with absolute senseless drivel like this? If your goal is to “save people” then wouldn’t you want to understand those people in the hopes of being able to influence them in a positive way? Not that I condone “forcing” ones religion down another’s “throat” at all, but just saying. To just go out and blast a bunch of people the views and ways of whom you have no grasp upon just makes you, rightly, look like an even greater moron than you normally do (no small feat.) REAL Christians would have forgiven the “evil pagans” their lifestyle in the hope that they could eventually win them over with the love of Christ, not attempt to steamroll them with ridiculous propaganda filled hate speech. At the very least a true Christian wouldn’t waste his/her time on an article like this, they would accept the fact that “the road is narrow and few will enter” without feeling the need to go on a tirade against something they know virtually nothing about.
At no time during your article did you even approach anything similar to making sense, you are awarded no points and may God have mercy on your soul.

Your stupidity is showing again. The word of God does not need to be sown in America, except to tree humping, perverts as yourself. If you have not accepted it by now, there is no use in beating a dead horse.
September 4th, 2009 at 8:23 am
Like the founding fathers of this great nation I stand in opposition to the tyranny long perpetrated upon the people via the influence of “revealed” religions. I do not accept your “faith” as reality, my closest, best and only connection to God the creator of all existence is through my God given reason. I accept no book or other document as the written and revealed word of God and I feel sorry for those who blindly accept a document that has been passed down through the hands of men for more than a thousand years. Even if such a book DID start out originally as the word of God, which I maintain that it never did, the chances of it being entrusted to mankind and not falling upon corruption are non-existent. Do you really want to go here with me? I recommend that you back off before I start trying.
September 4th, 2009 at 8:46 am
And just to clarify, I am not a Pagan, pagan traditions to me are too… dogmatic. I do, however, protest your completely unfounded and wildly inaccurate claims about the adherents to and rituals involved in their practices. If you’re going to condemn something at least have the decency to know what the hell you’re talking about.
