Winning The War on Terror?

Posted on 29 October 2008 by Baco

The 2008 Election is history. Those of us who voted and fought were blessed to help make history. We expressed our individual thoughts and shared our deepest feelings for and against an America divided by war. We fought not knowing which side was good or evil. The time for fighting is over. It is time to unite America and win the war on terror, but how?

Sending our soldiers into an endless war didn’t bring us victory and it never will. After 100 or 1000 years, our soldiers and our soldier’s soldiers could never kill everyone in opposition to our policies or religious views. If the answer isn’t in what we did, the answer must be in the “Change.” America must change. Winning the war means we must embrace diversity. Why is diversity the key? On 9-11, we couldn’t interpret the messages and signals we had warning us. Diversity in a global world is great for business and national security. I argue, our lack of diversity in a global world gave America a black eye. We responded irrationally seeking revenge. New leadership returns us to our sanity.

Victory in the War on Terror is impossible. We are fighting an endless war. Endless war is equal to surrender. We can’t defeat evil, but it feels good as we take revenge. This is the cycle of revenge. Everyone suffers until we find the courage to end the world or end the fight. The Bush administration sadly lacks the courage to try to end this fight. This is George W. Bush’s legacy. Reading a book while America suffered will forever haunt his reign, but we cannot be reduced by that pain. We must find the courage to move on and change. The 2008 election is about finding courage in spite of our past differences, races, religions, crimes, and our fears. Evil will never let us forgive or forget. I supported Obama knowing “We can.” I think, “We did!”

In short, why do I think we voted for change? Poor people in frustration can only commit suicide. If lucky, they may take a few innocent people in their empoverished protest. Rich people in anger can commit genocide on a global scale. Their anger fears diversity and their unlimited resources provides one person the ability to wage war on the world directly proportional to the terrorist’s bank account. Fighting an endless war is bankrupting America- financially and spiritually. One nation under God is divisible… if we the people choose to become the evil we oppose. I argue money is the root of all evil. More money makes one potentially more evil. After 9-11, we didn’t follow the money. Instead, we sent our troops into Iraq for President Bush’s revenge. We must change directions because the money fueling the war on terror originates in the poppy fields of Afghanistan. That money is still angry and still growing.

You really should bu+y a calender. Your socialist little man has not won yet. If by chance he does win, he will spend his presidency fighting for his integrity which is questionable at best. Just because he wins the election does not mean he is off the hook with America. I CANNOT WAIT IF OBAMA WINS TO SEE HOW HE REWARDS HIS MARXIST/ENGELSIST FREINDS, THEN AMERICA WILL SEE THE REAL “KARL” OBAMA. He will ruin this country, but thats okay real Americans will build it back. Obama will make history, he will be the president who ruined America. As for your reference in the above article, that was all it was a reference, I returned from Iraq TWO MONTHS AGO, and we were winning then and my buds left over there say we are winning now. You don’t know squat about the war due to your head being rammed up Obama’s behind.

How weird. Just as I was about to stop writing here on the Citizens, some conservatives come along. I might just stay after all.

  3. baco Says:

Bre, if you stopped writing here and posting that magnificent mug of your on this blog, the Citizens would suffer. Conservatives can be beautiful people when they want to be. You are beautiful always, but your perspective on the world needs to be broadened. If I never see your face again, it was my pleasure. You will see my face someday…I’ll be smiling right beside Obama at the Inagural saying, “Yes, We Did!” I really enjoyed your commentary. Thank you for never dissappointing me.

  4. breannawanna Says:

Well, I can always expect some kind of compliment from you when logged on, so that’s a plus. But I am very “broadend” so no thank you. I don’t need to accept a man who hates Israel, but will not admit it until and we’re all down the tubes. I will not endorse someone who has no experience. I cannot and will not. Baco, your views are those of a horse with blinders. I am the car driving by, screaming “Hey, look over here for a second!” And you are the horse too confused and choose to keep going straight ahead. I am curious to see what your response is to the man below me. The man serving in our military. He’s the hero with the right opinion. He knows what’s going on over there, but you’re over here writing what you believe is happening. I hope you can fit through doors with the size of your head. Deflate, deflate. Also, I wouldn’t be surprise if Obama does win, he seems to have EVERYONE under that spell of his. Very scary. Cheerio.

Little lady, I would close my blinds the next time I dressed. You may see this guy peeking in if you don’t, freeeeeaky.

  6. nos0up4you Says:

hates Isreal? Please offer up some evidence. Thanks.

And what would you say to a soldier who came back from Iraq and chose to support Obama? Would they also be a hero with the right opinion?

  7. breannawanna Says:

Aw, I missed you, nos0up4you. I knew you’d be back. My comments are like food and you are the puppy that runs to it. Do you want to be a Pitbull or a Chihuahua?

Obama’s close pal Rashid Khalidi makes me wonder. He’s a Jew-basher. It’s funny, because the LA times refuses to set the story straight, and I don’t hear Obama asking for it to come forward to clear the air up. I’m sure if this were all McCain, it would be released and over played like a Kelly Clarkson song. He says that his relationships with Bill Ayers, Rashid Khalidi, Rev. Wright, ACORN are not anything you should judge his character on. But my candidate is 72 and called a looney because he was a POW. Strange. If I judge him by his actions, friends, and words, I seem to be deemed racist…

  8. nos0up4you Says:

Ahhh Rashid Khalidi. Yet another person who McCain is trying to make out to be some sort of boogeyman. Nevermind that McCain was Chairmain of a group called the International Republican Institute that gave grants worth $500,000 to the Center for Palestine Research and Studies, a group that Khalidi co-founded. We can play the “guilt-by-association” game all day long. John McCain was part of the Keating Five. He gratefully accepted Rev John Hagee’s endorsement until some of Hagee’s comments got him in hot water. He has ties with Young Political Majors, a Get-Out-The-Vote organization whose owner was arrested for voter fraud. We can play this game all day long, or we can actually talk about the issues and get down to who will be better for America. The McCain campaign doesn’t seem to be comfortable enough to discuss the issues, so they manufacture these attacks on the man.

  9. breannawanna Says:

You haven’t picked what dog you want to be, silly. What was the outcome to the Keating Five? Essplain.

  10. nos0up4you Says:

I know that McCain was cleared of all wrong-doing, but it was unethical for him to act on behalf of Keating. On top of that, his running mate has her own ethics scandal with Troopergate. What I’m getting at here is that there is plenty of fodder for both candidates if all you want to do is go with attacks based upon associations. I think the whole deal is silly. I have friends who have been arrested, had drug problems, been fired from jobs, failed classes or dropped out of school altogether, said things that I am vehemently opposed to, etc… does that make me a bad person for associating with them? Obama was PLACED on a committee with Bill Ayers by a prominent Republican. He worked at the same University as Khalidi. He represented ACORN in conjunction with the US Department of Justice in action against the state of Illinois 15 years ago. Knock it off and let’s talk about the actual issues here.

  11. breannawanna Says:

Well, I’ll be writing an article soon on the issues, and how Obama’s plan will hurt America; which is sure to be hounded by your comments. I would like to know what you think about that video I posted?

    Along with this: http://gatewaypundit.blogspot.com/2008/10/oops-obama-camp-caught-scrubbing-its.html

    FAIL.

  12. nos0up4you Says:

The YouTube that you posted is a smear job that is meant to scare people away from voting for Obama. It’s loosely thrown together, and aside from a thoroughly debunked story about this al-Mansour guy, doesn’t offer very much in the way of red meat.

The non-partisan website Snopes.com, which is dedicated to fighting urban legends and outright lies that are passed around on the internet, has a page devoted to stories about Obama. Please read it.

I’ll be looking forward to your post.

  13. breannawanna Says:

I’m so happy you brought up Snopes! It has recently come to my attention that Snopes is run by a guy who is in the tank for Obama and is a flaming liberal. Much like most of the media. That video was from JewsagainstObama.com, if you’d like to take a gander. I also don’t buy your site because there are no facts. By saying “Oppsies, he made a mistakey. He worded that wrong…” doesn’t cut it for me.

  14. readalot Says:

I suppose everybody else’s evidence is wrong and yours is right huh punk boy. You don’t know what you are talking about. Have you ever got off your fat ass and read a book, no, have you ever just got off your fat ass? Tell me who checks snope’s facts? Read Obama’s book, i have. Every charge that is thrown against him he shores up in his book. He clearly states he is a lying Marxist phoney in his own book. I suppose that his book is fabricated or maybe you want “evidence” he actually wrote his own book. You are as bad as that chick “mama cass” sarfina, Always demanding evidence when infact Obama provides the evidence himself.

  15. nos0up4you Says:

if Snopes is run by some “flaming liberal”, why would they also run pages to debunk lies about Palin, McCain & Bush?

  16. nos0up4you Says:

punk boy? fat ass? The discourse reaches a new low here at TCJ.

  17. readalot Says:

OOOOOOOOh, did I hurt the ne’er-do-well’s wittle fweelings? You gonna make papa Obama beat me up? You gonna ask him to take more of my money and give to others? Is he going to cut off my social security because I hurt one of his uninformed supporters feelings. Well, I can get you lower, you and Obama can bite my ass.

    This was from: http://urbanlegends.about.com/od/internet/a/snopes_exposed.htm

Yeah and Obama did not know who J. WRIGHT WAS OR BILL AYERS WAS A TERRIOST. Obama takes private donations, so who can prove it. Who checks these people’s facts?
Thanks Mamma Cass, that link put this matter to bed!

  20. scfarina Says:

    Who checks your spelling?

BTW, thanks for comparing me to a musical icon. I’m flattered; I didn’t realize my vocal talents were recognized by the general public.

Trick or treat? Winning The War On Terror was a treat for me to write. I’m not writing about what I think is happening, this stuff writes itself because it’s true. Our poor soldiers are stuck in an endless war, frustrated, and seeking a camera or mic to become the next “Joe the Soldier.” Before this one, I wrote “Shut up and Fight.” Good soldiers just take orders and accomplish the mission. Endless wars don’t accomplish anything but waste time and money. Good soldiers can’t debate foreign policy or go against the orders of their superiors. No soldier has anything worthwile to add to this conversation. As for winning, returning to sanity is winning. Engaging our enemies is constructive conversation is winning. Seeing Iraq be a friend to America and free from us is a victory. Seeing the President of Iran stepdown is a win. Seeing our way clear of the lies of the Bush administration requires blinders. Yes, Bre you can count on me to tell you how beautiful you are again and again. I don’t lie. Some things I say sound better to your ear when I whisper. When I talk politics, I’m usually shouting and ranting about some truth few know or understand. Look back to my article about Joe Biden. Who selected Biden before I did? Just because the main stream media won’t tell the truth, it doesn’t mean that I don’t know what happened. When you get this deep, you make powerful enemies and friends. Winning elections makes the hero or the fool. Twice the fool is enough.

  22. readalot Says:

Blah, Blah, Blah, you mirrored everything the MSM publishes, same crap from the same know nothings.

  23. readalot Says:

    I wasn’t referring to your’e voice Jaba.

  24. scfarina Says:

Insults: When Ignorance Alone Isn’t Enough

Readalot, you may want to actually start doing that; maybe it would help you improve your spelling, not to mention critical thinking skills.

  25. readalot Says:

I knew you could not resist pointing out the last spelling mistake, Jaba! Yet, you still commented on the insult. Can dish it out but can’t take it, huh. By the way, the chubby/hippy look does not suit you. It suits “your” mind set, but not you personally.

  26. affablepenman Says:

Spelling errors are pretty annoying, sort of like you and your commentaries, of which increasingly flow away from the issues at hand.

  27. scfarina Says:

I’ve always been taught that if you want someone to take your ideas seriously, you present them seriously… including grammar and spelling. Sue me.

I can take whatever you choose to dish out, and if you can point out to me an instance where I made a personal attack on someone (as opposed to arguing evidence, theories, ideals, “conduct unbecoming,” etc.) I will happily apologize.

Affable, if you’ll pay attention, I initially entered this conversation to provide a legitimate reference countering a false statement someone else made. It was your friend readalot who decided to start slinging personal insults. Quite frankly, the most insulting thing s/he has come up with so far is the insinuation that s/he knows what does and does not suit me personally.

  28. affablepenman Says:

I was responding to readalot’s last comment. I was defending you! If you will pay attention, that would be the one below your last. I will not make that mistake again, have at it.

  29. readalot Says:

Jaba done got preachy boy all upset! All cause I caint spelet no good. Jaba taught you to mind your own chickens, huh redneck?

  30. scfarina Says:

I apologize, affable, I misread you on that one and I do appreciate your defense.

  31. affablepenman Says:

THIS IS TO READALOT. Now you may insult and argue all day long on this website, even though this area is not meant for that purpose. You will fail in gaining anybody’s respect with your comments or an article should you ever choose to write one. You will spout your bull over the internet, but I would bet my next paycheck you would not do it to my face. I meet people everyday just like you. Those like you I meet face to face are always on their best deportment, unless they think there is no one around. So, you can knock off the act, I can see right through it. Why don’t you spend your free time on moveon.org or someplace like it.

  32. tigerflame Says:

    Just a few observations…

Point One: “Winning the war means we must embrace diversity. Why is diversity the key? On 9-11, we couldn’t interpret the messages and signals we had warning us.”

The only diversity that will help us is a diversity of weapons. Diversity didn’t have a thing to do with 9/11. It showed us that the “turf war” in regard to data about national security must be shared among all the involved agencies. Diversity is not a blip on the radar here. And our enemies have no regard for diversity.

Point Two: “The Bush administration sadly lacks the courage to try to end this fight.”

You negotiate just like we did after World War II: after the other sides sues for peace. And they have been clear about one thing: They will never surrender or stop fighting us.

Point Three: “Reading a book while America suffered will forever haunt his reign…”

I was watching TV as it happened. Am I too blame as well? May I remind you that “W” inherited Osama from Bill Clinton. What did “Bubba” do to stop terrorism after the first World Trade Center bombing? Let’s prosecute them…

Point Four: “Poor people in frustration can only commit suicide.”

This only perpetuates the “victim” mentality. “Oh, please, send the government to help me, for I cannot help myself.” But with the election of Mr. Obama we may find that we have committed national suicide. He is untried and lacks executive experience.

Point Five: “I argue money is the root of all evil.”

Money is a tool, just like a knife. One can use it to prepare food or one can use it

  33. tigerflame Says:

    Continued from below…

Point Five: “I argue money is the root of all evil.” Money is a tool, just like a knife. One can use it to prepare food or one can use it to murder a fellow human being. The desire for money, to the exclusion of all else, is evil. Is killing babies evil? Yes. Does the involvement of money make it more evil? Yes, but the act itself is evil, with no help from money.

  34. tigerflame Says:

And why “engaging our enemies is constructive conversation” is impossible…
“Islam does not coincide or make a truce with unbelief, but rather confronts it. The confrontation that Islam calls for with these godless and apostate regimes, does not know Socratic debates, Platonic ideals nor Aristotelian diplomacy. But it knows the dialogue of bullets, the ideals of assassination, bombing, and destruction, and the diplomacy of the cannon and machine-gun.” (Al-Qaeda Training Manual, Available At: http://www.au.af.mil/au/awc/awcgate/terrorism/alqaida_manual/, Accessed 9/5/06)

  35. tigerflame Says:

And why do I keep returning to religion? Perhaps because they do. We in the West see religious faith as a part of our lives, a section of the whole. Those in the East see life as a section of the whole, which is their religious faith. Islam permeates the culture and the mindset; they are deeply intertwined. Their government does not have a separation of church and state; they are very much a theocracy. Anyone denying this is one of three things: an ignoramus, a fool, or a liar bent on his or her own perverse pleasure and/or gain.

Is Mr. Obama or his team aware of ANY of this?

  36. readalot Says:

TIGERFLAME! THANK GOD! Where have you been? I am just back, and just have, got all of the sand out of my crack! I agree with you, but you will find others on this site who like to fight wars out of their armchairs. They know it all, my friend. “The recruiter” is an expert on warfare!
