Man is an amazing organism. He loves today what he hates on the morrow. He can never be satisfied with his lot in life. One of the Ten Commandments speaks directly to this point, “Thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s house; thou shall not covet thy neighbor’s wife, or his manservant, or his maidservant, or his ox, or his ass, or any thing that is thy neighbor’s. The commandments also speak to the abortion argument, “Thou shall not kill.” These two commandments are front-runners today. I will endeavor to speak upon each, only as a humble believer.
Let us begin with humanity’s insatiable desire to covet others situations. It starts at an early age one child wants another’s toy. The parent, not wanting to hear crying, takes the toy and gives it to the desiring child. That, my dear reader, is the barest form of socialism. Indeed, socialism can be traced back through history for generations. I will not relate all the examples or instances, but I will state that it has failed every time. If you will notice, all of the Ten Commandments given to us by god are relative to one another. I will present one example and allow the reader to cross-reference the rest if he so desires. My example has to do with the above-mentioned warning against coveting. There are but two basic ways to obtain what one covets. The first is to have it taken away from one and given to the other. The second is for the one desiring to steal the coveted object. Both of these methods will result in breaking at least one of the other commandments. In the first method, if the object is taken forcefully it could result in the death of the original holder. The same can be said about the second method. Breaking it down further, suppose it was a mans wife that was coveted. We have all seen the newscast where one lover kills the husband or wife of the other in order to be together. This entails three trespasses of the commandments. Thou shall not covet, thou shall not kill, and thou shall not commit adultery. Again, the same can be stated about the second method. Thou shall not covet, thou shall not steal, and if a man resists during a theft; violence usually erupts, and then we have thou shall not kill.
Let us now move deeper into the word of god and look into the abomination of abortion. The commandments speak to this in a simple straightforward way. Thou shall not kill. I will move this discussion from the arguments of right and wrong; away from what is and what is not a woman’s choice. I want to center the question on the bloody hands of doctors that perform this hideous act. It is they that will answer, along with the mother and obliging father, to the inquisitions of God. They have the fresh blood of babies on their hands. If America really wants to destroy, or at least damage, this sinister practice they have to abstain from using any doctor that is willing to offer this operation for blood money. Will it be done? Can it be done? If there is a willingness to do the right thing, yes, if there is no value on human life, then no. One of the favorite arguments of abortionists is “What if the mother was a rape victim?” I agree that is terrible, but the child did not commit the atrocity. Most rape victims usually abort the pregnancy right off. They do not wait until the third trimester to have the procedure. No matter a person’s stand on the issue, there is a marked difference between sucking out a clump of cells and sticking a probe into a baby’s cranium and hearing it scream.
These two frontrunners are the testaments of today’s society. They are the indicators of the position we have on humane values. When we were placed here on earth, we were told to multiply and prosper. Now we are in the business of going exactly against that which we are naturally to do.
Will we ever get it right? No, I am afraid it has to be manually put right. Which it will by the hand of Jesus, and that time draws near each passing minute.
